Explore just walking the parents directly, without sorting.
This is a slightly less stable ordering, in the case that 2 revisions have similar
revisions but swapped parents. (I merge you, vs you merge me)
It probably is a bit of a wash, as the time to compute gc_sort is not really
going to be a dominating factor, anyway.
We might consider going as far as the 'more stable' merge_sort anyway.
